Every organization's assets are a conglomeration of various systems. These systems maintain a strong cybersecurity posture, which necessitates coordinated efforts across all of their systems. As a result, we can divide cybersecurity into the following sub-domains:

Network security is the process of securing a computer network against unauthorized access, intruders, attacks, disruption, and misuse using hardware and software. This security assists an organization in safeguarding its assets against both external and internal threats.

Application security entails safeguarding software and devices against malicious threats. This can be accomplished by constantly updating the apps to ensure they are secure from attacks. Before a programmed or device is released, successful security begins with the design stage, which includes writing source code, validation, threat modelling, and so on.

Information or data security entails implementing a strong data storage mechanism to ensure data integrity and privacy while in storage and transit.

Identity management is the process of determining each individual's level of access within an organization. Operational security entails processing and making decisions about how to handle and secure data assets.
